University of Glamorgan

Faculty of Health, Sport and Sciences

The Faculty will accept direct entry onto year 2 of the BSc/BA Sports Studies, on condition that a student has completed an HND in Sports Science or other appropriate sports related course.? Any other student without these entry requirements who applies will be treated on an individual basis.

The following courses normally offer 2nd year entry:

  • BA (Hons) Sport Management
  • BA (Hons) Tourism Management

Glamorgan Business School

BA (Hons) Management and Business – specialist one year top-up degree for students who have obtained a HND in a business subject with a merit profile (includes specialist business routes for example – HRM and Marketing).

Foundation Degree in Management and Businessstudents who have obtained a HND in a business subject with a pass profile would be eligible for entry onto the Foundation Degree in Management and Business. Successful completion of the Foundation Degree leads to entry on to the BA Management and Business degree.

The Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries

The Faculty will normally accept direct entry into year 2 of the following degree courses on condition that the student has completed a HND in a relevant subject:

  • BA Media Production
  • BA Media Studies
  • BA Photography
  • BA Drama
  • BA Film

The following areas will normally require successful completion of HND and an interview by portfolio for direct entry into year 2:

  • BSc Music Technology
  • BSc Sound Technology
  • BA Popular Music
  • BA Art Practice
  • BA Graphic Communications
  • BSc Architectural Innovation and Technology
  • BA TV & Film Set Design

Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences

Students may be accepted onto year 2 of the law degree, on condition that a student has completed an HND in Law or other appropriate law related course

Middlesex University

With a pass profile students may be accepted into year 2 of the BA in International Business Administration.

University of Gloucestershire

Students with related HNCs ?and an IELTS 6.0 overall, and in writing may be eligible to progress into year 2 in the following degrees:
