The industry is highly competitive and therefore demands a high level of such skills. Consequently, there is a demand for a higher level qualification to meet these training requirements.

The industry itself commands a high level of commitment as the working hours are frequently unsociable and the working environment is not as glamorous as some may assume! Therefore, commitment is also a requirement of anyone wishing to pursue this programme of study.

The programme provides students with the opportunity to develop both high level technical and academic skills equipping them to meet the challenges of working in this competitive industry. Most hair and make-up artists work on a freelance basis and this programme provides the skills to pursue a career in theatre, TV, film or photography.
