2008 Outstanding Greater China Design Awards
Eligibility
Application for the Outstanding Greater China Design Awards 2008 is open to designers, registered organizations and companies from the Greater China area, including Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Works of design originated from the Greater China and issued for the first time between the period of 1 April 2003 and 31 March 2008 are eligible to apply

Award
Award winners will each receive an award trophy and a certificate of honor.
Seal of Merit
Award winners will also receive a “Seal of Merit” and be entitled to the use of the Seal for promotion of their award-winning works
Assessment
1. All submitted works will be assessed by the Panel of Judges comprised of internationally acclaimed designers. Except for pieces in the New Media category, which will be assessed on the internet, all assessment will take place in Hong Kong in July 2008.
2. The Assessment Committee reserves all rights in relocating submitted works in a category they deem more appropriate, or disqualifying any submission.
3. Upon filling in and submitting application forms, candidates have officially declared their agreement on compliance with all decisions made by the Hong Kong Communication and Art Centre and the Assessment Committee.
Results Announcement
All award results will be announced at the Award Presentation to be held in Hong Kong on 30th August 2008. All winning entries will be
showcased at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 28th to 31st August 2007 and published in the Hong Kong Art & Design Festival Catalogue.
