Diploma in Performing Arts

The Diploma in Performing Arts is devised to provide an introduction to the many areas of the Performing Arts industry. Learners in the Diploma in Performing Arts will experience foundation training in the three broad areas of music, dance and drama, and will investigate the related fields of speaking skills, music creation, modelling and personal style design, and management in addition to the above areas. Public displays of students' creative efforts are frequent, as is working with the more experienced learners in the HND programs.This course is an ideal introduction for those who would like to work in the industry, but need to upgrade their performing skills across all areas in preparation to entering the HND qualifications.

Course Articulation
  • Students who complete this course are eligible to directly enrol in the BTEC Higher National Diploma programs offered through the HKCAC.
Program Notes


Students can enrol in the Diploma of Performing Arts at exit of Form 5 education. Students can be concurrently enrolled in the HKCEE/ HKALE/ IGCSE/ GCE/ HKDSE and Diploma of Performing Arts.
This course is available to both local and overseas students.This course is available full-time (1year) and part-time (2-3 years)

Entry Requirements

Form Five graduates and above who have an interest in the performing arts are encouraged to apply.
For admission into this program applicants must obtain a pass in the Hong Kong Communication Art Center entrance interview. This interview determines the applicant suitability to demonstrate enthusiasm and potential to succeed in the program.
Mature aged students of at least age 21 are welcome to apply. Demonstrated ability and previous experience can be considered in lieu of Form Five graduation.
