從「天圓」(Circle of Life)、「地方」(Square of Earth) 、「菩提樹」(Bodhi Tree) 、「中國窗花」(Chinese lattice) 、「中國剪」(Chinese Paper Cut)、到「中國民間藝術」(Chinese Folk Arts),他將東方哲學及中國文化融入其珠寶首飾設計中。
Born in 1970, Dickson Yewn studied fine arts and business studies in Paris and Ottawa respectively. In New York City, he continued his studies at the Fashion Institute of Technology in photography and jewelry design. Yewn has worked in a variety of creative fields including design, advertising and film before beginning on his conceptual jewelry collections for life of circle in 1999.
Yewn’s jewelry had won numerous international awards including the DTC Diamond Award Hong Kong. His conceptual jewelry store, “life of circle”, was selected by Forbes Magazine in 2005 as one of the top 25 stores in the world, winning the category for jewelry store among other brand names such as Hermes, Manolo Blahnik and Ralph Lauren, etc..
Since 1995, Yewn has been creating fine and luxury jewelry pieces for his artwork collectors. Mostly pieces are either one-of-a-kind or limited edition pieces. From “Circle of life”, “Square of Earth”, “Bodhi Tree”, “Chinese lattice”, “Chinese Paper Cut”, “Chinese Folk Arts” to Manchurian Collections, his works draw inspiration from Chinese arts and culture. All of these exclusive collections would be branded under his own name, YEWN. YEWN exclusive boutiques will be opened later this year in the Landmark and the Peninsula Hotel. |
